A whole lot has happened at Dojah in Q1 of 2022. It’s been a busy couple of months but we are excited about all the new developments and changes that have come with growing as a brand.
We’re glad to have new and existing businesses trust us with onboarding, verifying and integrating customer data. We’ve built new networks of partners and companies to deploy our services as we expand our reach to other African countries. We attained a milestone of over 2 million API calls and integrated data endpoints for four African countries — Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and Uganda. The team is also two members larger and our work on getting a fresh look is underway.
Some of the significant improvements we’ve made on Dojah APIs over the last quarter:
API status report: We built an API status page that allows an almost real-time status report for Dojah APIs so you can track your API activities and view a history of incidents and outages.
More bank connections: We’ve added more banks to our list of 20 banks so you can connect and get financial insights from your customers. We’ve added Standard Chartered Bank, Fidelity Bank, Heritage Bank, UBA and Polaris.
Verify users in Egypt: Egypt joins the list of other African countries where Dojah allows you to verify users. Yes, we’ve expanded our reach by integrating endpoints for Ghana, Kenya, and Uganda. Now, we allow you to verify users in Egypt. With Dojah, you can verify the authenticity of an Egyptian’s National ID and also match their facial biometrics to the image on their ID.
Here’s a roundup of major news we’ve had in recent times!
We got into YC! 🎉
Yes, our first major announcement this year was joining the YCombinator Winter 2022 batch. Joining the league of companies backed by Silicon Valley’s venture funder is instrumental in helping us achieve our aim of connecting businesses to verified African users. Our founders also got into demo mode; doing the famous 60-second demonstration of Dojah at the YC Virtual Demo day. Find out more in this TechCrunch piece.
Hosted our first webinar
We took our first shot at hosting a webinar session earlier in March. Joined by panellists from Trove, Ourpass, Prospa and Kippa Africa we had an insightful session discussing the intricacies of Compliance and Customer Onboarding in Tech. Here’s a video recap so you can get more out of the session. This is the first of many such interactive sessions as we find ways to drive necessary conversations regarding compliance, product growth and identity verification in the African market.
Launched the ID Verification Widget and Dashboard
We spent the last couple of months building out a faster way for tech businesses to verify and onboard genuine users through a single flow. 43% of users drop off due to verification frictions in onboarding. Our Identity Verification Widget helps reduce user onboarding friction and fraudulent sign-ups so that digital businesses can optimize conversion rates and scale faster.
Integrate the widget with a few lines of code and access a dashboard that allows you to:
- Detect fake and tampered IDs
- Extract and verify document data automatically
- Manage identity verification status of all users on one dashboard
- Carry out over 10 types of checks on your users
- Give real-time feedback for every user sign-up attempt
- Customise the widget and dashboard for your brand
There’s still a lot more to come
We’re just getting started in our quest to build easy and robust data automation for businesses. Dojah is innovating fast and our immediate next steps are focused on optimizing and improving the ease of onboarding through low-code and no-code tools.
Dojah is an all-in-one infrastructure that enables tech companies and digital businesses to verify, identify, store and manage user data fast and seamlessly. Ours is a complete API pack built into essential frameworks that businesses can access via a single integration and build custom flows that fit right into their product.
Thank you for being a part of our journey!
